A reminder to our community - you can support San Saba County Friends of Animals by collecting and donating aluminum cans to help us raise funds for our programs. Only beer and soda cans are eligible at this time. Cans can be whole or flattened. We have two convenient drop off locations - McKinnerney Real Estate in Richland Springs and Hamrick's Automotive Center, Inc., in San Saba. We thank both of these businesses for helping us with this fundraiser.

All individual donations are welcome, but why not make this a school or club project? Students from Cherokee ISD did that earlier this year, holding a friendly little competition among different grade levels and ending up with a whole truckload of cans for us. They helped clean up the environment and supported our rescue mission at the same time - win/win!

Every so often, one of our volunteers takes the cans to Brownwood to be sold. This project has only been around for a few months and has already been very successful. We expect that it eventually will contribute several hundred dollars per year to help homeless dogs and cats in San Saba County. If you have any questions, please contact us at 325-372-7387 or message our Facebook page. Thanks for participating!
