Its been another quiet week. The heat seems to be endless. Granted, it’s no longer 100 degrees every day, but it’s still hot! All I seem to do is water plants. Fortunately, they're still thriving.
We had a visit from our daughter-in-law and our four youngest grandchildren over the weekend. The kids love to come down to the cafe and eat pizza and ice cream and watch movies from the big couch. Making memories!
Shirley Gray and Sue Rhoades of Cherokee and Melody Ball from Lampasas and Marilyn Shetland from Sun City, left on September 2nd and flew to Alaska. They spent four days there, then boarded the Royal Princess Cruise ship and sailed to Vancouver, Canada where they enjoyed the beautiful scenery in Victoria and Buchart Gardens. They then cruised to Seattle Washington where they flew back to Austin. They should be home Tuesday the 20th. I look forward to hearing all about their trip.
Friday at 5 p.m., there will be a Hamburger Supper fundraiser at Cherokee Indian Stadium prior to the football game. The $8.00 will buy you a Hamburger, chips and a drink. The proceeds go to the Athletic Booster Club, to help feed our athletes at away games.
Please come out and support this worthy cause and stay around for the Homecoming Football Game between Cherokee and Sidney at 7:30 p.m.
I wish you all a blessed week, and we'll see you Around the Corner.
