The Commissioners' Court meetings are opened with invocation and pledges to the American Flag and the Texas Flag.
The following items were approved:
• Departmental Reports submitted by County Extension Offices and The Damage Management Technicians
• 086 acres for Harkeyville Estates Subdivision in Precinct No. 1
• Leave all Courthouse doors on the 1st floor open except on Court days only; the East Door will be open with Security in place.
• Accept with gratitude the resignation of Rickey Lusty from Precinct No. 2 Boards.
• Appoint James Lebow to Board of Directors of the San Saba Central Appraisal District.
• Appoint Jody A. Fauley a Primary Representative to CTCOG Executive Committee, Greg McGregor as Secondary and James Lebow as Alternate to the Board
• County Burn Ban was enacted for 90 days The following items were tabled:
• Waive 60-day waiting period for HEBP
• There was a discussion on the FEMA Status.
January 23, 2023
The following items were approved:
• County Attorney to examine and store and dispose of contents of City National Bank Safety Deposit Box for San Saba County.
• Craig Whiting, DO, appointed as the Local Health Authority for San Saba County.
• Inter-local agreement between Kerr County and San Saba County for Jail Services @ $65 per day for housing inmates.
The following items were tabled:
• Waive 60-day waiting period for HEBP
• Issuance of credit cards to elected officials (to be investigated and revisited)
• Grant for Mental Health Deputy (discussion only)
• Discussion only on Part-Time Grant Writer for San Saba County (to contact TAC for more information) on the FEMA Status. (No new information)
• County burn ban enacted January 9, 2023, to expire April 10, 2023.
The following items were approved:
• After discussion, the 60-day waiting period for HEBP was left in place.
• A Committee was appointed to approve Guidelines and a Policy for credit cards for elected officials.
• Seeking bids for repairs of CourthouseAnnex Building (Old City National Bank Building)
• Greg McGregor was approved to serve on Committee for Law Enforcement Communications.
• Interlocal Agreement with Runnels County Law Enforcement Partners to house San Saba County Jail Inmates
• Accept donation of $364.32 from Law Enforcement Pardners for San Saba County Sheriff’s Office
• Accept Racial Profiling Report for San Saba County Sheriff’s Office
• Pay for Part-time Deputy David Parker @ $21.00 per hour The following items were tabled:

• Sheriff’s Specialized Reporting System for Sheriff’s Department (to get more financial equipment) Presentation by McKinley Armstrong - FCS Agent, on World Health Initiative Student who will be visiting San Saba (Brock-Student) There was discussion on Body Cameras and Tasers for San Saba County Sheriff’s Department under $50,000.00, and Court gave blessing for Sheriff’s Department to acquire the equipment.

• Sheriff’s Specialized Reporting System info from Central Square - $162,837.97, $25,000.00 for Tablets and i-Pads; Software Maintenance Basic annual fee $65,000. To advertise for bids for (2) weeks.
