Busy start to summer for MOE Basketball

    MOE 5th/6th (41-3) [Pictured below] traveled to the PAC in Leander, Texas, on Saturday, May 25, and played up in division and picked up a second place finish in the Junior High Girls Division of the “Start of Summer Classic.”

    MOE Varsity competed against some very good competition in their first tournament of the season and picked up a second place finish in the Varsity Girls Division of the “Start of Summer Classic.” MOE had wins over Leander Phoenix 38-18, Liberty Hill 48-41. After being down by 12 points at halftime, MOE Varsity would rally in the second half of the championship game but would fall short, 40-37, to a very good Austin Anderson High School team.

    MOE 5th/6th (43-4) traveled to the Round Rock Sports Center in Round Rock, Texas, on Sunday, May 26, to defend their “Queens of the Court” title from a year ago. MOE had wins over Academy Sting 62-14, Burnet Next Level 51-19, and Temple Triple Threat 70-12, to win their 9th tournament championship of the year and repeat as “Queens of the Court” tournament champions.

    MOE 5th/6th (46-4) traveled to the Eastview High School in Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday, June 1, to take part in the “2024 TWE Summer Splash” basketball tournament. MOE had wins over TWE 6th 44-6, TWE Vipers 54-12, and Belton Shooting Stars 37-11, to win their 10th tournament championship of the year.
