A Brownwood man and a San Saba man were killed in a head-on collision involving two pickups Friday afternoon on FM 45 in San Saba County, multiple media outlets reported, citing the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The 4:06 p.m. collision, which happened about half a mile south of FM 2995 in San Saba County, took the lives of Richard Harris, 65, of Brownwood and Eugenio Perez, 52, of San Saba, the DPS said.
Harris was driving a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup north and towing a cargo trailer. Perez was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup south. The southbound pickup crossed into oncoming traffic where the collision occurred, the DPS said.
Justice of the Peace Sharon Blossman pronounced Harris and Perez dead at the scene, the DPS said.
A 23-year-old male passenger in the Dodge Ram was injured, the DPS said.
