Last week there was some rain, some wind and some damage to some of the trees. Received 2 inches last week. Monday, April 13, woke up to a very cool morning. Turned on the furnace and needed a jacket to go outside. But have no fear it will warm up to a balmy fifty something degree weather in the afternoon. Then the rest of the week should be short sleeve weather.

Bobbie Morris reported that the high wind Thursday did some damage to the tabernacle roof, peeling back some of the tin and turning over tables and damaged some of the cedar and oak trees at High Valley, but no damage to the church.

Lanell Danials reported that a tree in her front yard was up rooted, but it didn’t hit the house.

This Easter was like none other in the past years, but some churches still had services of some sort. Some listened to the Easter message either in their cars or at home listening to services on radio or TV and some attending their church. No big Easter egg hunts like in years past, but some unusual ones like hunting eggs in their cars. Of course some families hunted the eggs in their own yards. In years to come it will be remembered.

Jane Clark reported that they had a very nice Easter Sunday and she is doing much better. Doug, Kristi, and children spent the night, and Boyd and his friend Brandi and his two sons and Bobby Clark came in.

They did some fishing with good results, four nice catfish. The family celebrated at home Sunday with a church service out doors with just the family.

Some family members worked around the place. mowing and weed eating, some inside helping with things that needed to be done. It was a wonderful weekend.
