Are we upside down in life?

I remember the time I noticed a little black beetle on his back frantically kicking his feet. I had no idea how he got in that predicament, and I was wondering if he could upright himself. As I watched, I noticed that he seemed to be getting weaker and weaker to the extent that he was barely kicking. I gently touched him, and he kicked a few kicks and then stopped. I turned him over, but he barely moved. Before long, he started moving a little bit and crawled off.

That little bug reminds me of something in the Bible. We stand before God in our natural state as that little upside down beetle. We are perishing and without hope on our own or without help. That bug got that way probably because he did something he should not have done.

We end up in bad situations because of sin in our lives, (Romans 3:23, 6:23). That little brown bug needed help just as we do. But God loves us and provided a way to rescue us, (John 3:16 & 17) by sending His Son. It cost Jesus (His Son) His very life, (Romans 5:8-11). We must be willing to call upon Jesus to help us, repent and ask Him to forgive our sins, (1 John 1:8-10). Ask Him for mercy and save us, (Acts 2:21, 4:12, 16:30 & 31). Help is available! See you in Church next Sunday.
