Annual “Meet the Dillos” set for August 7th at Civic Center

The San Saba All Sports Booster Club (SSASB) is gearing up for another exciting year of Armadillo sports! To kick off the new year, our annual “Meet the Dillos” will be held August 7th at the Civic Center starting at 5:30 p.m.

We will begin the evening festivities with a fish fry that includes all the trimmings for a $10 a plate donation. Tables will be set up in accordance with the local rules so that everyone can practice their “social distancing” skills. We will also have a table set up at the entrance with masks that were pre-ordered online. If you do not have a mask and would like one, we will have several styles available for sale, as well as some new Armadillo apparel.

If dining-in is not your preference, we will have a drivethrough available for anyone that would like to pick up to go.

After the meal, we will have the “Meet the Dillos” portion of the evening. We will start with the introduction of the coaches and all the fall sport athletes, followed by performances by the SSHS cheerleaders and Dilloettes. You will also be treated to many of your favorite Friday night tunes from the Golden Armadillo Band!

While enjoying the performances, bid on your favorite item or goodie at the silent auction tables. Last, but certainly not least, we will have a live auction with many items up for bids. Check out some of our unique pieces of Armadillo history! See photos at left.

• A signed helmet from the 2019 District Champion/ Regional finalist football team.

• An autographed basketball from the 2019-2020 Regional finalist girls’ basketball team.

• An autographed boys’ basketball (with the team pic) of the 2019-2020 STATE QUALIFYING team.

• A framed team picture and ticket stubs signed by boys’ basketball team.

• A customized cornhole set made from the white gym basketball courts.

• A state of Texas with the SS logo made from the white gym floor.

We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy yourselves, eat some good food, and meet the Dillos. Let’s show our Dillos and Lady Dillos our support!!
