My name is Allen Brown, and I am a candidate for the office of Sheriff in San Saba County. My wife, Jill Brown, and I have been married almost 14 years. Together we have 4 children and 10 grandchildren along with 3 dogs and 14 chickens.
At the age of 12, our family moved to Brady, TX and my siblings and I attended Rochelle ISD. After graduating high school, I attended Southwest Texas State University and Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. My plan was to go into the ministry but then I discovered my true calling was to be in law enforcement where I felt I would be better at making a difference. I attended Concho Valley Regional Law Enforcement Academy receiving a Basic certificate.
Growing up, my siblings and I attended the Pentecostal Church. After moving to San Saba, I joined the First Baptist Church where I was a member over 12 years. I also enjoy Bible studies.
Former Sheriff John Benner hired me as a deputy and I learned quickly that the more training you had, the better you could help and protect your community. I also joined the SSC Volunteer EMS and the SSC Volunteer Fire/Rescue. Both organizations' members had big hearts and taught me a lot.
Some of my favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing and shooting sports. I also enjoy Tactical and K-9 training Working in churches and schools with the youth recharges my soul which is needed every so often.
If I am fortunate enough to be elected as the next Sheriff of San Saba County, some of my goals will be to run a proactive office and rebuild the former School and Community Policing programs. No victory can be won without the community’s involvement.
I have learned that quality family time and spending time with God in prayer leads to success in life. My family and I would really appreciate your support and prayers.
