Alice in Wonder Land

Hallelujah! I am praising and thanking God for the rain that has made the grass green again here in Zanesville, Ohio. Zanesville, the county seat for Muskingum County, has an interesting history. It was part of the Underground Railroad and home of author Zane Grey. Interstate 70 goes through the middle of Zanesville with exits to restaurants, lodging and tourism. There is construction (road improvements) on the Interstate at this time with lane and exit closures.

Lane and exit closures certainly relate to our lives. When my husband Larry died of covid, 11-22-20, in Marble Falls, there were many closures and exits. The closures in my life were a wonderful marriage, missions in Mexico, The Singing Women of Texas, working at SSN&S, being in The Fathers House, and living in Texas with many great friends. When God made these closures, He prepared the exit into a life depending on Him. There are times when I want things my way, feel sorry for my circumstances, am lonely or want to be in Texas. My mind and thoughts want to be in control instead of depending on God.

Colossians 3:15-17...NIV... Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
