The walk to my mailbox today was a “Praise the Lord” because I finally got a new social security card that will give me the last requirement to get my Ohio license plate and driver's license. I would rather keep my Texas plate because it is KJV (King James Version) 6311, and my car would still be a Texan. Also in the mailbox was a card from Shannon with encouraging words, loving Alice in Wonder Land, acknowledging our friendship since we both worked at San Saba News, and quoting Philippians 1:3.
Last week, I shopped at Gabe's discount store. I took the tags off and laid them aside until today when I read their tags: #1. Live and let live. Being relaxed and comfortable with everyone and everything. Each day is a special event to be received in a unifying way. Treat the world with the respect and love you want for yourself, and enjoy wearing our clothes. #2. THIS GARMENT MAY BLEED ONTO LIGHTER COLORS PLEASE WASH THIS GARMENT BEFORE WEARING. #3. SoftCell fabrics are blended with lyocell to provide a silky touch, and cotton to provide breathability and softness. This collection is comfortable to wear, and botanically derived. I am Wonder-ing if item #1 comments are available only when wearing the item; #2 Oh My! I don't know which tag this information is for, so need to wash all items; #3 I have never heard of lyocell and did not know clothing breathed, so I will be drowning it when it gets washed and there goes the botanically derived also. Are you smiling with me or wondering about me?
I loved a surprise visit from my niece Beth and her husband Randy Saturday. Beth brought me raisin filled cookies she baked using my mothers recipe. Yum yum! They will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary August 27th. That is a very special day to remember because Larry married them, and it is also my daughter Jenny and husband Bill's anniversary.
There have been showers here at least three times a week and rain twice a week. I am so thankful that our God reigns in sunshine, showers or rain!
