Alice in Wonder Land

I had the most unusual Christmas because I was sick. Had a covid test that was negative so I rule that out and also flu because I get a flu vaccine every year. So, it must be a virus, and I don't like being sick, especially on Christmas.

Well, I am not alone because Dinah, my cat companion, is with me and I can tell my troubles to God. Christmas cards from friends in Texas have helped also, and they are keeping in touch with me through this column. Charlotte Berryhill's note in her card mentioned she does just that. I remember Charlotte many mornings as I drink coffee from the Joy To The World cups she gave me at Christmas when I lived in San Saba. That's right, they are Christmas Joy all year!

Oh no! Dinah sees my pencil moving while I am writing my column before I type it, and she wants it. She likes ties, ribbons, belts, and one time she pulled a Bible with it's ribbon marker and it fell on her from the coffee table. Well, that's what I have done many times and called it “bit off more than I could chew.”

In our lifetime, we will have blessings and woes. Jesus stood and talked to a large crowd about this in the 6th chapter of Luke. To narrow it down to one sentence it is Luke 6:31 NIV – Do to others as you would have them do to you.
