As I receive Christmas greetings from friends and relatives, there are memories with each one. Some greetings have been returned, and I will never know if they died or left no forwarding address here on earth. As I wrote that last sentence, I realize that when I die my forwarding address is Heaven. Hallelujah!
It is time to look back at 2023 and make plans for 2024. Are there things we did not accomplish in 2023? Making changes is never easy. Examples of what needs to be adjusted or changed: physical health, mental health, job, finances, healthy nutrition, eating/drinking, family activities, living arrangements, spiritual, keeping in contact with family/ friends/community.
In Ohio, there was a church by the name of New Beginnings.
People attended who wanted a new beginning. However, the leadership had different ideas, and it became Old beginnings and is now closed. Life situations can be like this when leadership of families, towns, countries, have different ideas. As we look to 2024, may our hope, prayer and resolution be “let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.”
1 Peter 3:10-12... NIV Bible... For, Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
