Last week I received a certificate in the mail on completing the Grief/Share classes sponsored by the First Baptist Church in San Saba. The classes were a help to me. At the last class, we launched balloons. My balloon read: Larry Lee Smith 8-04-40 to 11- 22-20. Ambassador for God, Ohio-Mexico-Texas. I Wonder where that balloon went.
Just when I need prayer, I believe God whispers for people to call me. Friends Winfield and Cynthia heard that whisper. They called me, encouraged, and prayed for me. GLORY!
I found out yesterday that one of my neighbors went to Hopewell School where Larry graduated. She remembers that a girl named Flora was in her class. That is Larry's sister's name.
I signed up to eat at Cracker Barrel with a group from our condos tomorrow. I am looking forward to meeting more neighbors.
Two years ago when Larry and I were in Ohio, we both got glasses here in Zanesville. For years I bought readers that would break or I would lose them, so that time I got bifocals and loved them. Well, three months ago, I could not find them so I bought a pair of readers and when packing things I found three more. Now, I can't find the three and am down to one pair. So this afternoon, I went to the place we went two years ago thinking they would have the records and I could get them. Well, they recommend a yearly exam so I did that today and got two pair (just in case something happens to one of them).
This Saturday, June 26th, will be the third celebration of Larry's life. We had one in Texas and the second one in Mexico. This will be a final "goodbye" and very difficult but I will have the support and prayers of friends and relatives in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
