Two Armadillos selected to the All-West Texas Football Team

  • Reagan Mejia (SR) Mejia was an all-around athlete for the Armadillos during the 2021 football season. The senior averaged 40.6 yards per punt and was 22 out of 27 (81%) on extra points. Regan also hit 4 out of 7 field goals (57%) with the longest coming from 39 yards out.

  • Wesley Lackey (SR) Lackey finished up the 2021 year with 655 receiving yards on 46 receptions (16.5 avg) and 6 touchdowns. The 655 receiving yards is the 3rd highest in a season by an Armadillo receiver behind John Curtis Weyerts (706 in 1995) and John Bauer (911 in 1992).

Last week, the San Angelo Standard-Times released their annual list of players selected for the All-West Texas Football Team. Two players from San Saba High School were named on this list.
