Pecan Capital Trade Days saw some new faces behind the booth tables last Saturday.

Mason and Mary Ziegler were set up on the east end of the line of booths. They were selling homemade jewelry. They displayed the jewelry on playing cards. They had earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. On display they also had jewelry sets and wooden crosses. This was their first Trade Days event.

Rigoberto and Ana Karen Valdez's booth had a variety of items for sale. Some of the items so beautifully displayed were decorative tote bags and purses, jewelry, hats, and dolls. This was their first time at Pecan Capital Trade Days. Mr. Valdez also does taxidermy. Hopefully, you will hear more about that soon!

Of course, Don and Joan Van Gorp were there with their Fabric Creations booth, and this time they had a friend with them, Rose Smith, who was sharing her beautiful smile with their customers. If you would like to have a booth at the next Pecan Capital Trade Days or just want more information about it, Joan is the one to call! 325-372-4029 Sarah Saldivar, a Pecan Capital regular, was there with her tables full of many treasures that would catch your eye. She also had many beautiful plants, and of course, her yummy sweets were available. This week, her daughter YeseƱia Saldivar, was sharing the Saturday with her.

San Saba County Friends of Animals made their first showing at a Trade Days event. They had four furry friends with them available for adoption - Lilly, Maggie, Jack, and Elvis! Sylvia was there from SSCFOA to answer any questions folks might have and to help with the adoption process. She also had her sister, Elsa Zepeda, and niece, Victoria Galindo, there to help.

At the far west end was the La Cookies (Home Bakery) booth, a first-time booth at the Trade Days in San Saba was run by Brittany Moreno. Her boyfriend, Roberto Coronado, came as her helper. Brittany had homemade sweets sure to put a smile on your face. Among their items for sale were four different kids of cookies, mini cobblers and German chocolate cakes.

If you missed it on the Pecan Capital Trade Days last Saturday, you can catch the next one on October 7th. Mark your calendars!
