Lady Dillos Hoops in full swing this week

The San Saba High School girls varsity basketball team has begun its 2021-22 regular season under first-year head coach Chris Jost.

Following a dominant 71-7 victory at home against Paint Rock High School and a close 46-38 loss on the road against Geneva School of Boerne, the Lady Dillos will look to continue their eventful regular-season schedule.

The Lady Dillos varsity squad will have the following nondistrict schedule this season: 6 p.m. on November 12 at home vs. Richland Springs High School, November 18-20 at the Marble Falls tournament, 6 p.m. on November 22 at Cherokee High School, 12 p.m. on November 23 at home vs. Hamilton High School, 6:30 p.m. on November 30 at Menard High School, 6:30 p.m. on December 7 at home vs. Salado High School, December 9-11 at the Santo Tournament, December 28-29 at the Comanche Tournament, 12:15 p.m. on December 31 at Gatesville High School, and 5:15 on January 4 at Lipan High School.

With all district games set for a 6:30 p.m. tip-off time, San Saba will have a tough District 29-2A schedule against some very good teams: December 14 at home vs. rival Goldthwaite High School, December 17 on the road at Johnson City High School, December 21 at home vs. Harper High School, January 7 at Center Point High School, January 11 at home vs. Junction High School, January 14 at Mason High School, January 18 at Goldthwaite, January 21 vs. Johnson City, January 25 at Harper, February 1 at home vs. Center Point, February 4 at Junction, and February 8 at home vs. Mason for Senior Night.
