Meet Cole! Cole is the most handsome boy, always dressed in his black tuxedo and his spotted paws. Cole has been overlooked and with San Saba County Friends of Animals for sometime now, and we do not know why. He has had some training and is ready to show you his gentleman mannerisms.

80 Years Ago April 5, 1925Mrs. Leon Lane honored her little daughter, Margaret Ruth, with an Easter egg hunt at the gymnasium. A basket of eggs with each child’s name on them adorned the center of the table.

Colony Memorial Cemetery Association holds annual meeting

The Colony Memorial Cemetery Associate held its 54th Homecoming and Annual Meeting on April 27, 2024. There were approximately 26 members present.The meeting was called to order about 11:45 by our president, Bob Millican. Bob asked everyone to thank Sandra Spivey for cleaning the church.

Receipts totaled 2,260 head. The market continued very active this week with strong demand. The stocker steers sold $5-$10 higher with 3 steers 513 lbs at $375.00 ($1923.75) and 3 steers 600 lbs at $350.00 ($2100.00). The stocker heifers were steady to $2 higher with 13 heifers 495 lbs at $334.
