The Stan Weik Memorial Splash Pad is almost ready! Crew members from the Street Department, Water Department, and Parks Department were hard at work last Wednesday day laying the sod. The weather was perfect when the time came for this step, and after they finished, we got four inches of rain!
According to Scott Glaze, Public Works Director, it only took two hors to lay the 16 pallets of grass. The grass was purchased from a company near Houston by Michael Whitley at the Golf Course.
What are we waiting on now?
There are two signs being made. One has the Splash Pad rules, and the other is the title sign.
So kids, get ready. It won’t be long now!
