Tommy and Clovia Ketchum, members of San Saba County Young Farmers Association, recently attended the National Young Farmers Education Association's (NYFEA) 55th Institute in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Clovia has been serving the past two years as National Secretary. She was elected as President Elect for 2022. Shown left to right are the 2022 NYFEA officers: Gordon Stone - Executive Secretary (Alabama); Jane Plumier - Secretary (Indiana); Clovia Ketchum - President Elect (Texas); Donnie Carter - President (Georgia); Tim Faulkner - Past President (South Carolina); and Kenny Boyd (Alabama). Clovia told the News staff they took a tour of a robotic dairy while in Ft. Wayne. She said the cows go in one at a time and in random order to be milked. However, if a cow hasn't been milked, the computerized milking machine knows which cow has been missed. Imagine that!
