Tommy and Clovia Ketchum traveled to Nashville, Tennessee for the National Young Farmer Educational Conference. Tommy served as president of the National Younger Farmers Education Association. While in Tennessee the couple toured a Tennessee Walking Horse operation and watched a demonstration of their training. The couple also toured the Country Music Hall of Fame, and Johnny Cash Museum. The tour was topped off Saturday night at the 100 anniversary Grand Ole Opry where Connie Smith, Marty Stuart and other artists performed.
After returning back to Texas, the couple attended the conference in Marble Falls, Texas. While there, they visited the Falls of the Colorado Museum, and toured The Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery, and Save the World Brewery. The couple attended three seminars on water and land conservation, farm safety, and a presentation by April Sansom of Selah, Bam-berger Ranch Preserve, Darren Sultemeier with LCRA and Texas Water Utilities, Bobby Hicks.
Clovia was elected as President Elect, and Tommy will serve on the board as Area VII vice president.
