December 23, 2024

• A person reported a reckless drivers coming into the county from Goldthwaite on Hwy 16 at the county line. He stated that two trucks, a white chevy and a silver chevy, passed him on the shoulder.

December 24, 2024

• A welfare check was requested on Indian Trail in Cherokee by a mother. She stated she has not heard from her son in two days and cannot get him on the phone, which is not normal. She also stated her car (which he has been driving) is on the side of the road heading toward San Saba near Buck Horn Ranch on Hwy 16 S. The caller asked if someone could check to see if he went to his grandfather's trailer or is possibly heading to get gas if he ran out. She also gave them a heads up that the grandfather has a bulldog that 'is mean.' The caller noted no one is supposed to drive her car except for him, specifically mentioning a girlfriend or ex-girlfriend to her son. She stated she knows her son is okay, but repeated that it is not normal that she cannot get in touch with him and just wanted the Sheriff's office to check on him.

• A person reported their brand new vehicle (a 2023 Black Chrysler 300 with red calipers and a tail spoiler) was stolen out of Dallas, and through an app, he is able to track it to CR 362 in San Saba. He noted the windows are not tinted, it is brand new, and he provided the license plate number.

• A person reported a deer carcass was in front of an individual's gate on FM 580 in San Saba.

• A person on US Hwy 190 called to report credit card fraud. He stated he received an email noting he has made two Ebay purchases for $800. Caller note he had his card frozen. The shipping address on the order was in Leander, and he has contacted Leander PD who advised him to file a report in his county of residence. An officer was notified and provided with contact information.

December 27, 2024

• A person came into the San Saba jail in regards to an individual refusing to comply with visitation orders.

• A person came to the jail to report someone dumped 3 dead goats on CR 117. Information was taken by an officer, and the Game Warden is aware of it.

• A person called stating that she could see a fire burning from her property. She stated it was a good-sized fire that appeared to be on CR 409 about 2 miles off of FM 1031. Caller's address is off CR 415, and she stated she could see it on the horizon straight east of her.

• Game Warden called the dispatch cell phone and advised that there was a gold Chevy Equinox on Valley Spring road near the Circle K Ranch with an open gun case in it. Game Warden advised he would appreciate someone going out to check on it, and if a Game Warden was needed to give him a call and he would get the Game Warden covering to go out there. K9-104 went out to the area.

December 28, 2024

• A person called to report he just witnessed a vehicle roll over on 16 S. and CR 321, single cab pickup truck, 2 occupants, no injuries or entrapments.

• A person called to report a domestic disturbance near the Sleepy Hollow RV Park in San Saba. Caller saw a man (wearing a dirty shirt and jeans) and a woman (wearing pink pants and a gray shirt) fighting. The man was throwing rocks at the woman, and she was running out in the road.

• A person called and said there was a wreck on Hwy 16 N by the sign for the San Saba Airport. The person reported 1 car, no injuries or entrapments.

December 29, 2024

• A person called stating he were in a single vehicle accident on Hwy 190 near the San Saba River bridge in San Saba. He stated he was the only person in the vehicle, and he was not injured. He hit a deer, and his car was now stuck on the guard rail.

• A person called and stated there was a red van swerving all over the road on Hwy 190 West 2 or 3 miles west from San saba. She stated that she is in a 2020 Tuscan and observed the driver pull over on the side of the road.

• A person called and said she has a horse on her property on N. Vowel St. in Richland Springs, and it does not belong to her. It is a brown and gray horse (male); she does not know who it belongs to.

• A person called and stated she observed a male walk into a store in the 100 block of E. Wallace, and he looked intoxicated. She stated he drove off, and there were children in the car. He headed west on Wallace.

• A person called to request a welfare check on an individual on S. Hall in Richland Springs.

• The Sheriff called from E. Commerce in Richland Springs and stated that he has received 2 calls about an individual seeing people and things.

• A person called stating that an individual was outside his residence on E. Main in Richland Springs, yelling 'Calling the cops. It's a major emergency.' The caller advised that he has not opened the door for him as 'He does not like to deal with him.'
