San Saba - wedding venue of choice

The news office received a visit last week from Jennifer McAda of Houston. She said she had a family member getting married Saturday in the courtyard behind Pecan House Grill.

Ms. McAda was elected by the bride's family to be the 'unofficial' wedding planner, and it was up to her to help find a venue for this meaningful event. (Bride - Cerise Anderson) The bride and groom are both from Houston, but the groom's parents now live in the area. (Bentley's) Ms. McAda stated she knew about the flooding last year and how it impacted our local economy. For many months, the news around the state was that the town of San Saba was 'closed for tourists' even though stores were still open for business. It has taken a long time for stores to recover. Ms. McAda said one reason San Saba was chosen was because they wanted to help boost our economy because of the hit we took after the flood.

She shopped venues around the town and settled on the courtyard behind Pecan House Grill, in front of the Burleson-Estep Building now the home of Reata Ranch Realty. The photo above is that venue decorated for that wedding last Saturday.
