Last Thursday, August 3rd, Congressman August Pfluger hosted a Town Hall Meeting in the District Courtroom of the San Saba County Courthouse. Judge Jody Fauley welcomed the approximately 60 folks who attended the hour-long meeting to hear what our elected Congressman had to say.
John Alsbrooks came up to the front and led everyone in prayer. Chad Ashworth then led everyone in the Pledges to the American Flag and the Texas Flag.
Judge Fauley introduced August Pfluger to the group.
Congressman Pfluger recognized the San Saba Volunteer Fire Department for their great dedication and hard work during this extreme hot weather and drought. He presented an acknowledgement award to the SS VFD. Captain Jack Blossman received it on behalf of the entire department.
Congressman Pfluger also acknowledged the hard work of Mission San Saba and presented an award for their great efforts and accomplishments through the years. Receiving the award on behalf of Mission San Saba were Jesse and Jamie Hunt, Jody Huff, Randy Weeks, and Judge Jody Fauley.
During the Town Hall Meeting, Congressman Pfluger gave a presentation to the group which included accomplishments of the last seven months of the Republican Majority in Congress. He took questions after he had finished his presentation. After the meeting had concluded, the Congressman graciously stayed to answer more questions form individuals.
