The San Saba County Museum is sponsoring a scavenger hunt/geocaching event to celebrate San Saba County’s treasury of history! This will not be a one day happening but will encompass six weeks with new clues each week. The clues will take you throughout the county.

The Treasure Hunt “Kick-off” is Saturday, March 6th, at the San Saba County Museum in Mill Pond Park from 11:30 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Bring the family, and receive your first clue sheet and instructions. Then have a sausage wrap, and begin your hunt without leaving the park. A new set of clues will appear each Friday for six weeks at local businesses. The previous sets will remain available in case you get a late start.

The Treasure Hunt finale will take place at the Museum on Saturday, April 24th from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This is when you will turn in your filled clue sheets and receive rewards for finding San Saba Treasures. The more filled cards you have, the better your reward. There will be a drive-thru meal, a special indoor scavenger hunt for children, music, local business booths, and perhaps some surprises.
