On Saturday, August 7th, San Saba Masonic Lodge No. 612 will hold its regular stated meeting. A meal of meatloaf will be served by the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 191. Masons and OES members are asked to provide a covered side dish, salad, bread, or dessert. Also, Masons and Masons Helpers are reminded to provide their community service reports for July.
After the meal, a 50-Year Award presentation will be made to Thomas L. Alston. The District Deputy Grand Master, Marvin D. “Buddy” Williams, of Masonic District No. 70, will present the award on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Texas.
Brother Alston was born on 9-17-1936, and received his degrees in Freemasonry in the former Richland Springs Lodge No. 882 in 1971. He served in nearly every office of that Lodge including Worshipful Master (1978, 1995, 1996). After the presentation, Lodge will open for labor.
The Worship Master, Stephen D. Brister, has called a practice at the Lodge on Friday, August 6th, at 9:00 a.m. All Master Masons are encouraged to attend.
