San Saba Elementary School third graders in Mrs. Jost’s class took the opportunity to compete in the SS Garden Club’s Poetry contest this past month.
The kids composed some awesome, fun poems with nature themes as the selected topics. The winners were selected by the Youth Committee of SS Garden Club, which consisted of Vicki Key, Lisa Foil, Kailey Miller, and Debbie Shahan.
The top winners’ poems will advance to the District V Texas Garden Club’s competition in the month to come. Winners were:
Gavin Jolly, 1st Place for his poem on PLANTING
Kinlei Vogel, 2nd Place for her poem on OUTSIDE FUN
Thomas Tracy, 3rd Place for his poem on THE COOL SEASON
Our local club appreciates Mrs. Jost and the parents who supported their kiddos in this endeavor! Winners received an activity book, Exploring Nature. Congrats to all for great writing!
