Hamilton took over EMS duties in San Saba County in August of 2020. At that time,Wesley Alexander was District Chief over both San Saba and Mills Counties. Hamilton then took over EMS operations in Lampasas County October 1, 2022, and Chief Alexander adjusted to add Lampasas to his territory. Mills County was then moved to the North District Command, and the Hamilton Chief started covering Mills County.
Due to the large size of the area which includes Mills County, San Saba County, and Lampasas county, Chief Wesley Alexander will be taking over as District Chief soley in Lampasas County, and Chief Dana Allison will be taking over his duties here in San Saba.
Chief Allison lives Hamilton, and his office will be here in San Saba. He will be over San Saba and Mills County. Mr. Allison stated he has worked for Hamilton for over 20 years. Before that, he was a firefighter in this area of Texas.
Chief Alexander said San Saba will still have the same amount of coverage.
