San Saba County Sheriff's Department welcomes new dispatcher

Caitlin Hall officially started working at the San Saba County jail two weeks ago. The additional training/certification she needed for this job was to get her jail certification. In San Saba, the dispatchers also work as jailers.

Caitlin worked approximately six to seven months as a dispatcher in Monahans, Texas, and then decided to bring her compassion for others back to San Saba to work with “her family.” Caitlin’s mother, Mona, worked in dispatch for 14 years and retired last year. Many say Caitlin sounds like her mother on the phone. Caitlin is proud to follow in her mother’s footsteps.

Caitlin has a three-year-old son, Ryatt (Rut), which makes calls involving children the hardest for her. On her very first day in dispatch in Monahans, she had one of those calls. Even though it was something that she will never forget, she did not quit. She still presses on to help the next person on the phone who might be in trouble and needs her help.

Welcome back to San Saba, Caitlin, and thank you for your service!
