The Pierian Study Club met for their End of Year party on May 12, 2022, around the beautiful covered pool at the home of Betty Jo Miller. The Entertainment Committee, consisting of Patty Shaw, Chair, Cissy Williams, Karen Henson, Brooke Bagley, Kathy McEwin, and Martha Leigh Whitten, were hostesses for the party. Committee members Sherry Ruddick and Kay Stowell were absent.
The theme for the party was “Burgers, Fries, and Cherry Pies”, based on a song by Char ley Pride. The hostesses were dressed as “car hop” waitresses from the 1960’s, and the tables were dressed in red and white checked table cloths with different 60’s memorabilia on the tables.
Approximately 60 people which included members, spouses and guests enjoyed hamburgers with all the trimmings, French fries, and miniature cherry pies with vanilla ice cream.
A fun time was enjoyed by all! The Pierian Club will meet again in September 2022.
