Gold Nuggets of San Saba - that’s right, Pecans! - spilled onto State Highway 16 just north of downtown on Tuesday, December 3rd, around lunch time. Folks jumped in to clean it up. Around 12:15 p.m., the San Saba Volunteer Fire Department was called in to wash off the street. For a short time, Highway 16 was closed to traffic, but thanks to these quick-moving hands, it opened up shortly after the spill.
