A note from the Judge...

Proposed Transmission line

There is a lot of information being discussed around our county about the LCRA/ ONCOR Proposed Transmission line. I attended the informational meeting held in Lampasas last week along with several of our concerned citizens and have met directly with LCRA. I encourage you to get your information from trusted sources.

One of the best sites I have found is the LCRA homepage at LCRA.org. On their site, search for Bell County East to Big Hill Transmission Project. (Or you can click here:  Bell County East to Big Hill 765-kV Transmission Project.) They have FAQs, maps and most importantly, project questionnaires. If your land is in a potential route, please submit a questionnaire to LCRA. LCRA has committed to working with landowners, but they do not know where your home, pens or barns, etc... are located on your property. Please provide information as that may effect the route chosen or how it effects your property.

While there are still more questions than answers, we do know that these will be the largest transmission towers in Texas requiring an approximately 200' easement and an expected operational date in 2030. Please continue to follow my Facebook page at County Judge Jody Fauley as I have posted a link to the project and will continue to post information as I receive it.
