After another great football season, we have received our football honors.

Gunner Baugh-1st team alldistrict offensive MVP and defensive lineman James Beck-1st team all-district defense and cornerback Brady Johnson-1st team all-district offensive tight end and 2nd team all-district defensive lineman Wyatt Smarr-1st team all-district utility player and 2nd team all-district tight end Joel Valdez-1st team alldistrict offensive spreadback and defensive linebacker Jeremiah Wakefield-2nd team all-district wide receiver and safety Tatum Shanklin-1st team all-district spread center Cayden Houston-2nd team all-district running back Max Williams-2nd team all-district linebacker Franky Penney-2nd team all-district special teams player Ricky Jones-2nd team all-district special teams player Robert Bench-1st team all-district special utility player and 2nd team all district center Congratulations to these hard-working young men on a great season!

We have elementary and junior high UIL this week in Richland Springs. The students have been working hard to prepare, so we are all anxiously awaiting the results! We will have those in next week. Good luck to those competing at academic UIL.

We were also happy to host our first college and career day a few weeks ago. We had so many presenters that I lost count. It was a variety of careers from helicopter pilot to equipment operator and nurse to court stenographer. We had multiple colleges represented as well. Our students asked great questions and were fully engaged the whole day. Many students shared that they felt inspired to pursue a career that they hadn’t really thought about before. It was a great day that took a lot of help and planning. Thank you to Rebecca Sharkey, Mona Parrish, and Regina Randolph for heading that up. We are looking forward to next year!
