Masonic Lodge to host Annual High School Seniors Banquet

The ladies of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 191, the Freemasons of San Saba Masonic Lodge No. 612, and the San Saba Scottish Rite Club, will host the annual Seniors Banquet on Monday, May 1st. This is the 31st year for the annual occasion, which will be held at the Masonic Lodge Hall, just east of town. A meal of fried fish will be served with French fries, hush puppies and beans. Members are asked to please bring a covered side dish, salad, bread or dessert. The honored guests are the 2023 graduating seniors of Cherokee, Richland Springs and San Saba High Schools. Supper will be served at 6:30 p.m., sharp, and seniors are asked to be prompt. After the meal, a program will be presented by Mr. Billy Hamilton on the subject of “The Future and What Awaits Today’s Senior Class.”

Billy J. Hamilton to address High School Seniors Billy Hamilton is currently Worshipful Master of Texas Lodge of Research and a Past Master of Fort Worth Lodge No. 148 in Fort Worth, Texas. He resides in Justin, Texas with his wife, Bette. He is a father of three sons, ages 24, 21, and 16.

He is a co-host of the Fort Worth Masonic Podcast, and one of the organizers of Texas MasoniCon (an annual Masonic education and history conference).

Billy was born in Dallas to a military family. He lived 10 years in Germany and 10 in Oklahoma, before moving to Arizona to begin a career in Information Technology. His work has allowed him to travel extensively around North America, Europe, and Asia, including an extended assignment in the Philippines in 2011 and 2012. Other than those two years, he has lived in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area since 1999.

Billy graduated from Mac-Arthur High School in Lawton, Oklahoma, in 1993 and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Computer Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University. He currently works as a Senior Data Analyst for AT&T. He is a director of the Fort Worth Masonic Temple Association, and was the General Manager of the Grand Lodge Library & Museum in Waco from 2020 to 2022. He has been published in the Journal of the Masonic Society, Fraternal Review, and Knights Templar Magazine.
