Hey there, dearest San Saba friends! I have to say, it is so difficult trying to type while wearing gloves on my paws! I would love to express my excitement over seeing snowflakes and the possibility of ice skating in my own driveway but the only time I stretch the truth is when it concerns the last time food was in my tummy!
I am lucky; mom hates the cold as much as most people hate getting colonoscopy!! I am telling you, she bought this wearable blanket! It is a blanket with sleeves and a hood! I never have to worry about mom taking me on a skiing vacation, an adventure to see what igloos are like, or what a trek through snow covered mountains would be like! Nope, our vacations are spent on the beach in the sun on the beach in Galveston. I call that paradise, and mom calls it her heart!
Mom kept calling me her little ‘cub’ and I was so confused! I finally asked her what she meant. Mom smiled, hugged me, and told me…“Lenny, bears hibernate when it is cold. We have been hibernating. I am the mom bear and you are my baby cub!” I did what any respectable cub would do… I asked for a bottle of chicken!
I did realize something so important during my hibernation…I know exactly who I can depend on. I learned words are hollow if action doesn’t cement their meaning. Life isn’t about what you say you are but what you actually do. We love you so much!!
Lenny
