On Saturday, October 10, Keep San Saba Beautiful (KSSB) conducted its Great American/Fall Sweep cleanup. Volunteers cleaned several miles of highways, acres in the city parks, and waterways. Organizational volunteers-the Rotary Club, the Garden Club, the Boy Scouts, & KSSB Board members and individual volunteers, greatly contributed to the cleanup efforts.

The most unusual trash item was a $20 bill, which we didn’t trash but submitted it as a donation; thank you Volunteer Joe. Winners of the Sonic gift cards were Leia Kilman, Anselmo Martinez, and Sunny Ruiz. The most litter bags filled were from Volunteers Tim, Gabe, and Ike; Evelyn was our youngest volunteer. There were lots of hard-working volunteers, and you are greatly appreciated. Thank you. Thanks to all the volunteers, San Saba is a cleaner, more beautiful place to live.
