Hill Country Bible Church has moved to their new location

Our people are friendly! When you come to visit, that’s probably what you’ll notice first. We’re a “come as you are” kind of place where everyone is welcome and accepted. When you leave your home, be sure you’re wearing something comfortable. You don’t have to dress to impress at Hill County Bible Church (HCBC) San Saba. So grab a cup of coffee and some doughnuts, find a seat and make yourself comfortable.

In 2007, six families in San Saba began a community Bible study that quickly grew, attracting many young families and often having more kids than adults in attendance. Seeing the need for a non-denominational, nontraditional church, the leadership team began traveling weekly to Hill Country Bible Church in Austin, meeting with their leaders to explore planting a Bible church in San Saba.

By God’s grace, the first church service was launched in January 2009 at the San Saba Civic Center. For nearly two years, the core team worked tirelessly each Sunday to set up and take down chairs, sound systems, children’s rooms, and more.

This time of renting a facility reminded us that church is not just a building but a gathering of believers celebrating God’s work in their lives throughout the week. Beyond Sunday mornings, we’ve hosted outreach events like Sunday Fundays at Mill Pond Park, Dive-In Movies at the city pool, and Christmas movie nights during the Community Christmas Parade.

In 2011, we moved into our downtown building, where we spent 14 years gathering for church services, having small groups, youth Bible studies, community events, and more.

Now, we are located on the opposite side of town in a new building, continuing to allow the Lord to guide each of our steps.

We look forward to seeing you at our new location 1901 W. Wallace.
