If we made a family movie…it would be a disaster film!
Hello there, my San Saba sweethearts; what has life been feeding you: a big, juicy ribeye or some of that stuff mom eats, plant-based pretend meat that makes you want to destroy your garden? I suppose I should not make fun of mom. It is not appropriate or fair; now it is much like kicking a dog when it is down.
It seems our family cannot stay out the frying pan. I am at a loss to understand as we do not even use one anymore since dad bought an air fryer and cooks all his fried foods in it. And mom never eats the stuff, but fry away, that woman ends up doing. You see, she had a bit of a thing happen, a little incident whereby her legs went out and her body slammed into the corner of a sharp edge a desk. Then, she began having the worst pain she’d ever felt. After five days of excruciating pain, three of which included vomiting, she went to Llano ER where she met the magical doctor, Dr. Diamond, and a charming nurse named Kay. What amazing people, and we thank them with all our heart for helping by finding out what was wrong with her. Well, perhaps I should temper that statement a bit, they helped with her illness; as for her quirkiness, weirdness and eternal goofiness…we shall have to endure and be strong.
I think somewhere in that long explanation I mentioned an air fryer. Did I also mention fan tail shrimp? Oh yes, my San Saba dears, dad is hoarding them again, and I am not a happy dachshund. Isn’t it torture enough when the weather turned cooler? Dad made a big pot of chili that filled this house with aromas which made my nostrils flare like the bottom of a pair of old-style navy flared pant bell bottoms! I get rather tired of getting dry dog food when dad has access to everything I want. I think I will ask mom for her password for her Amazon account and order my own stash of food.
Speaking of food, mom is on an opposite diet, a clear liquid diet for now. Umm, I love the woman, but she has no worries about me wanting what she is having. Well, perhaps her Jello.
I would really like to thank the professional and kind treatment mom received from Dr. Diamond in Llano again; it meant more than he could ever know, particularly after our horrid experience with mom in Marble Falls when mom was in ICU. Caring about your job, doing it well means so very much.
We hope each of you have the best week, and we love you with all our hearts. Please take care of yourself and each other. Thank you for being.
