The Junior League, chaperoned by Mrs. Sam Walker and J. T. Evans, enjoyed a picnic at the Fair grounds. Asumptuous supper was spread and everybody reports a good time.
Mrs. W. E. Barrow, G. A. Walters and C. T. Jones are entertaining a party of their young friends in camp this week. The following are enjoying their hospitality: Miss Reba Wrathers, Helen and Francis Lidstone, Ethel Murray, Lucile Russell and Fairybel Walters; Messrs. James McConnell, Clay Kuykendall, Wiley Murray, Joe Clark and tom Gaines.
Mrs. Leigh Burleson gave a slumber party in honor of Miss Catherine Thompson which was much enjoyed by the younger set.

A new business to the City of San Saba is Texas Investments Real Estate. The firm is owned by Larry Sanderson, a 1967 graduate of San Saba High School, who acquired and completely remodeled the building located at 601 West Wallace that once was known as “The Cheese Cottage.”
A few San Saba High School, junior and elementary faculty, parents and students have volunteered their efforts during the past few weeks to a project to beautify the school grounds. Dennis Hardman, Tommy Edmondson and David Smart, assisted by an untold number have installed sprinkler systems at Rogan Field, the playground and practice field at the high school and junior high and also at the elementary school play grounds.
Tommy Lee Jones, film and TV actor of San Saba and Con-gressman Tom Loeffler have accepted invitations to judge the 11th annual World Championship Goat Cook-Off to the held in Brady.
Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Martin were host in their home for their Golden Wedding anniversary with a fish fry and barbeque luncheon, followed by a reception with the tradition of the bride’s cake, golden punch, mints and nuts. The cake was made by Mrs. Martin’s niece, Mrs. Daniel Bates of Keene.
Fred Mims was the winner of a drawing held during the San Saba Tractor Pull. Tickets for the drawing were sold by Our Little Miss Contestants who are raising funds to attend the World Competition at Fort Worth. The winner of the drawing will receive his choice of a VCR or 150 lbs. of beef.
