Message from Dr. Craig Whiting:

The COVID vaccine clinic scheduled for the Civic Center on Thursday, October 21, 2021 has been canceled by the Texas Department of Emergency Management. It was planned to have vaccines available for Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, for booster as well as primary series. However, the confirmation of booster doses for Moderna and Johnson & Johnson has taken longer than expected, and so the clinic will be delayed. We are still planning and signing people up for the November 17th clinic – you can go online to the newspaper’s website or the San Saba County Emergency Management site on Facebook to sign up, or here’s the link: <signupgenius.com/go/10c0c49aba92aa0f4c43- sansaba>. You can also call Marsha Hardy (325-372-8570) to sign up. We will add a second COVID vaccine clinic in December so that anyone who receives a primary dose of vaccine in November can get their second dose a month later.

Everett’s Pharmacy is offering vaccinations on a limited schedule; you can call them to find out which vaccines they have on hand and when they will be vaccinating.

The influenza vaccine is now available at the pharmacy and the clinics in town; it can be taken without interfering with the COVID vaccine so “timing” the vaccines is not necessary.
