CTC announces holiday break schedule

The Central Texas College (CTC) central campus in Killeen and the service area campus sites in Marble Falls, Lampasas, Gatesville and Fredericksburg will be closed for the holidays December 20-31. Administrative offices will re-open, and registration and academic advisement will resume Monday, January 3. During the holiday break, students who have completed the admissions process can register for spring 2022 semester classes using CTC’s Eagle Self-Service online system.

The CTC Fort Hood campus will be open during the holiday period offering limited services December 20-23 and December 27-30 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The office will be closed December 24-25, 31 and resume normal business hours and full services on January 3. Soldiers who enroll for spring semester classes between December 17-21 should be able to request Tuition Assistance (TA) through ArmyIgnitED on December 22. Soldiers submitting enrollments between December 21-28 should be able to request TA through ArmyIgnitED starting December 29. Students enrolling December 28 through January 3 should be able to request TA ArmyIgnitED on January 4.

Students can still access CTC’s virtual library services during the holiday break. The Ask a Librarian e-mail service, ReferenceRequest@ctcd.edu, is available, and responses are typically sent within 24 hours of an inquiry. Research paper assistance and the library’s online databases will also be available throughout the break and can be accessed from the library website <https://www.ctcd.edu/ academics/library/>.

Students can receive technical support for Blackboard, CTC’s online course learning management system, and BioSig-ID/ BioSight-ID during the holiday break although response time could be slightly longer than usual. The Mayborn Science Theater on the CTC campus will also be closed December 20-31. Saturday shows will resume January 8.
