The University Interscholastic League has approved student athletes returning to campus for summer workouts. It is great to see students back on campus again!
Board members normally receive required trainings at the Texas Association of School Boards’ Summer Leadership Institute in San Antonio each June. The TASB Convention was cancelled this year due to COVID-19. The Board of Trustees and superintendent received EISO (Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes) training, and Human Trafficking training at the June board meeting. Since the entire board and superintendent were in attendance, the board also received Team of Eight training credit as well. These trainings were mandated by House Bill 3. It was a long night, but board members received these valuable trainings from Region 15 Education Service Center personnel, Laura Strube and Casey Callahan.
The Board of Trustees schedules regular monthly meetings in the Board Room in the cafetorium. The Board of Trustees cordially invites residents to attend board meetings. There is a public forum at the beginning of board meetings that allows for public input. Your input is always welcomed, appreciated, and respected.
If you see a teacher in public, tell them how much you appreciate their efforts. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff.
Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
Community involvement is the key to our success!
