Families across San Saba County are invited to attend a free Back-to-School Event on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the San Saba Elementary School Gym, located at 701 E. Storey Street.
The event is made possible through a partnership between Convoy of Hope and the San Saba Ministerial Alliance, with the shared goal of helping local students start the new school year prepared and ready to learn. All Pre-K through 12th grade students who reside in San Saba County are welcome to attend. A variety of essential back-to-school items will be distributed, including backpacks, shoes, cleaning supplies, food trays, snacks, hoodies, and other resources. Supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
'This event is about supporting our local families and ensuring students have the resources they need for a successful school year,' organizers said. 'By working together, we're able to make a meaningful impact for children throughout San Saba County.' The Back-to- School Event reflects the continued commitment of local churches, volunteers, community organizations, and partners to invest in the well-being and success of San Saba County's children.
