Construction to continue on FM 45 in San Saba County

TxDOT to continue project from Colorado River to Richland Creek

The Texas Department of Transportation Brownwood District has obtained funding to continue improvements on FM 45 in San Saba County.

The project will reconstruct and widen the existing two-lane undivided roadway. This would consist of 12-foot-wide travel lanes and 8-foot-wide outside shoulders. Construction will continue in two phases, the first from the Colorado River to FM 502, then the second phase spanning from FM 502 to Richland Creek near Richland Springs.

Acquisition of right-of-way will begin in the next month, as TxDOT will begin contacting property owners to purchase land within the two phases. The first phase of the project is planned for letting in Spring of 2024.
