The Hamrick Family Reunion scheduled for June 6th & 7th 2020 has been cancelled. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our family members, and we do not want to risk the spread of illness at this time. However we hope to continue the tradition next year when it is safe to do so.

ONGOING EVENTS/MEETINGS

San Saba County Historical Commission – meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Rylander Library beginning at 1:00 p.m. Their meetings are open to all who are interested in San Saba County history.

San Saba Garden Club meetings – September - May, the first Tuesday of each month, 2:00 p.m., at the Historic Mill Pond Building, 1107 East Commerce. Initial meeting September 10th. Prospective members warmly welcomed. For more information, contact <rjkillion@centex.net>.

Bible Study Fellowship – The San Saba Women's BSF Group started a new study on September 12th titled: Acts and Letters of the Apostles. We invite all area ladies to join us each Thursday at one of two meeting times - 9:30-11:00 a.m. or 5:45-7:00 p.m. - at San Saba's First Baptist Church, 208 W. Wallace. Attention Quilters - San Saba Sew-N-Sews are meeting weekly on Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 601 W. Dry St., San Saba. All ladies who are interested are welcome.

Blood Drive by Baylor Scott & White Health – Blood drive dates scheduled for 2020: July 7th and October 20th.

San Saba County First Responder Organization is accepting memorials for loved ones. Send to San Saba County FRO, Box 293, Cherokee, TX 76832. Include name of person being memorialized or honored, address for memorial to be sent, and your name and address.

Central Texas Food Bank - San Saba County food distribution to people in need 2 times/month on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, at San Saba’s Civic Center from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Please call the Hotline at 512-684-2559 to check if inclement weather or holidays will affect the normal schedule.

San Saba County Historical Ornament Series has 12 ornaments - available at Rylander Library.

Honor your loved one with a memorial to The Friends of Rylander Memorial Library. A donation of any amount can be made to the Friends and will be used to carry out the Summer Reading Program for Elementary students and teens.
