Body

Clovia Ketchum was installed this past week as President of the NYFEA (National Young Farmers Education Association).

Mrs. Ketchum will serve until December 2023, when Texas will host the 2023 National Young Farmers Education Association Institute in College Station. A trip has already been planned for Mrs. Ketchum and other board members to Washington, D.C. to Agriculture's Promise the first weekend in March next year where students and attendees will focus on training and encouraging the next generation of young ag leaders from across the USA. All organizations involved with agriculture will gather to discuss and identify five key points to discuss with key policy makers at both USDA and in Congress, agriculture committee, for the upcoming farm bill. All that is required is a willingness to join the group policy discussion. It is hosted in Washington, D.C. Ideally, they will identify a common understanding of what must be done to promote success in the next generation of agriculture.
