As the contractors put the final touches on our new Richard W. Zipp Transitional Living Center, our staff and kids are anxiously awaiting move-in day! We recently met under the carport of the new building for our Wednesday night devotional time. As we looked out over the beautiful landscape behind the building, we worshipped God through song and prayer and heard a message from Israel Valdez based on Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
We ended the evening with ice cream and a game of four square. It was a joy to see the new space already being used to create laughter, smiles, and meaningful memories for our children and staff.
At Cherokee Home, we envision a future where lives are transformed in Christ and families are strengthened for generations. We are excited about the opportunities this new building will provide, and we thank God for His plans and for providing the amazing supporters who helped make it possible.
