We're excited to launch our new Vocational Program at Cherokee Home!
Our students are gaining hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, auto and yard maintenance, sewing, home repairs, and more. After completing a safety orientation, they jumped right into their first project—building shelf stops for our library DVDs. Each group worked together to design and complete their own original design.
This program is about more than learning a trade. It's about building confidence, independence, practical life skills, and a sense of accomplishment that will serve our students for years to come.
We're also incredibly thankful for our Dusty Moore Vocational Building, which provides the perfect space for students to learn, grow, and develop these valuable skills.
At Cherokee Home, we're committed to equipping lives for lasting change through a Christ-centered home, and this program is another meaningful way we live out that mission.
