Chamber of Commerce holds Directors' Board Meeting, August 3rd

The San Saba County Chamber of Commerce held a Directors' Board Meeting on Monday, August 3, 2020. Directors present were: Dora Miller, Cynthia Weatherby, Larry Davis, Myia Stewardson, T. Noel Wood, Marian Dean and Deryl Hoyt. Absent Directors included: Adam Bagley, Don Lindquist, Lynn McHenry, Misty Everett and Sara Sloan.

Dora opened the meeting at 11:00 a.m. Prayer was led by Deryl Hoyt.

New Business:

• Downtown Business Focus Group – need more information on company chosen to evaluate San Saba: total cost, scope of study and dues of group members.

• Email ballots to members for COC Director vacancy first of November, return ballots no later than December 11, 2020.

Newly elected Directors to begin January 1, 2021.

• Peggy York submitted grant to LCRA for new digital marquee. Voted - Nonopposed

• Voted to continue with 250 "Welcome Hunter" bags.

• Voted to purchase two guns for Welcome Hunters raffle. Non-opposed

• Contact Lamar Companies for billboard quote on wine tasting trail.

• We will continue to sell raffle tickets for sewing machine in early spring 2021.

Old Business:

• Will enter KOXE’s Big Buck Contest in 2020.

• Contact members for interest in professional 30-second video to be posted on Facebook and web.
