San Jacinto Day will be celebrated in and around the San Saba County Museum and Gazebo on Saturday, April 24th, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until 4:00 p.m.

This is a family event with activities of interest to the whole family. A special treat will be the live music which you can enjoy while eating the delicious chicken fried steak dinner prepared “cowboy style” by Lee Murray and his family. Take out and curb service will be available for a minimum of $10.00 donation.

This event is also the finale for the Texas Treasure Hunt. Everyone who has been participating in the hunt should bring their completed cards on the 24th.

The drawings for the prizes will be later in the day, once all the clue cards have been turned in. The prizes include: gift certificates from Pepperbelly’s, Pecan House Grill, Millican Pecan, Harry’s, Mrs. Mindy’s Sno Cones, Dairy Queen, Aunt M’s Illustrated Inn, Stone Oak Cottage, Sonic, and more.
